What do you need to bring to the course?
Something to say! Don’t worry about having any ‘jokes’ or ‘material’ though - that will come. We will help you develop around five minutes of original material. When you start you can bring ideas to start with - the key is that it is yours! Each class you will get a chance to get up, try material and get feedback from your instructor and fellow classmates. Please note - Stand-up at its core is about freedom of expression - however we will not permit material that is classified as racist or hate speech.
How will the course be structured?
Each session will focus on a specific area of stand-up and then there will be a chance to get up and perform exercises and/or your material and get feedback and things to work on for the week ahead.
TIME: Classes run from 7pm to 10pm at our Kingston venue.
